Curiosity had me in its grip. Why was I waffling? Old patterns!

Excitement, animation, and mind-blowing adventure or the familiar, entrenched way of thinking and being?

I have everything I need…

A competent, caring, and experienced driver.

An experienced leather jacket, the one with the Harley emblem; sunglasses to guard wind, only later to encourage the sacred; and secure head protection.

YES! Count me IN.

I approach the dream machine—my DNA briefly recalling the earlier fear of the dipping and swerving of my first ride eons ago—swing my leg over the seat, and hang on to pocket zippers.

Advice? Shoulder-to-shoulder adjustments in curves and turns, relax, and enjoy.

And there I was, accepting the invitation that I’d been pondering for three years.

Initial noise and acceleration of our launch hurled me into the now.

Trusting the person in front of me, I threw certainty to the wind.

I felt a relaxed presence. Everything became more vivid.

Canadian neighbors’ smoke heightened the red, glowing early evening sun, recalling a deep affinity for trees and my nurturing instincts.

That led to sensory overdrive: wind caressing my face, potent farm smells, and the sudden whoosh of passing cars.

Perma-grin emerged from a place deep within.

This surprising portal combined daring and gratitude. My inner light danced.

My life force unleashed electrifying currents!

So present to myself and to nature—with no effort at all—I felt an incomparable freedom.

I guess the Summer Solstice had affected me a bit early.

I sensed Light in all life, a re-energized personal spirit, and renewed balance and harmony—all gifts from the universe.

Through the joy and optimism of this unassuming motorcycle ride, I discovered another truth of me, a different relationship with nature, and a brilliant new portal.
